What does Subscription Planner do?

It lets you collect all your digital subscriptions like Netflix or Spotify in one place and track each one's price and renewal date. It converts subscriptions on different cycles (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) onto a common monthly basis so you can see your real spend.

How are the monthly and yearly totals calculated?

Each subscription's price is converted to its monthly equivalent based on its billing cycle (for example, a yearly subscription is divided by 12, a weekly one is multiplied by roughly 4.33), and all subscriptions' monthly amounts are summed. The yearly total is that monthly total multiplied by 12.

How does the free trial feature work?

When you mark a subscription as a free trial, the date you enter is treated as the trial end date, and you can also specify the price that will be charged after the trial. The tool shows how many days remain until the trial ends, so you can cancel before being charged unintentionally.

Where is my data stored, and is it safe?

All the subscription information you add is stored only in your browser (localStorage) and is never sent to a server. This keeps your data private, but it also means your entries won't be visible if you clear your browser data or try to access them from another device.

When will the email reminder feature be available?

This feature is planned to send automatic emails for subscriptions approaching their renewal date, and will go live once the backend infrastructure (scheduled jobs and an email service) is complete. For now it only appears as a placeholder in the interface.
